How to Add a Widget to Blogger

The First thing to do is to log in to your Google account or log in to Blogger.com. Now click the Blog you wish to add a widget. Now you will be on the Blog dashboard showing the overview of the blog.

Step 1: Click Layout from the left pane on the dashboard. You will see the layout of your blog showing the header, main and footer of the blog.

Step 2: On the section of the blog you want to add the widget click the “Add a Gadget”. A pop-up window opens with the gadgets.

Step 3: A list of Blogger Widgets will be available in various categories such as Basics, More Gadgets and Add your Own.

Step 4: All the widgets from the Basics category are developed by Blogger itself, and so it will be greater importance and trustworthy. More Gadgets gives you gadgets from all sources, gadgets by third parties. There is a search box for to you to confine the search.

Step 5: Add your own gadgets lets you use your gadget on your site. You can paste the link containing the Widget and Blogger adds that to the site.

Step 6: Once finding the Widget you want to add, click the blue Plus symbol and the Blogger widget opens with all its features and options. You can specify or customise the Blogger widget and click the Save button at the bottom.

Step 7: Now the Blogger Widget shows up in the layout of the Blog. You can click and drag it within the blog layout to relocate.
